Digital nomad visas in Latin America
Every programme in Latin America that the dataset covers — 14 countries, open and closed — with what each asks for and whether the time counts toward permanent residence. Closed and never-launched programmes are listed rather than quietly dropped, because knowing a route is shut is worth as much as knowing one is open.

How this list is made
Figures are the official minimum converted to US dollars at open-market rates; thresholds are set in local currency and move every year.
Every row here was checked against the immigration ministry, the law itself or an embassy page, in that order, and the figure carries the grade that checking earned: 4 high , 6 medium , 4 low. The country page behind each name carries the statute or the official page it came from, so you can check it yourself rather than take it on trust. Data checked .
- high
- Taken from the immigration ministry, the law itself or an embassy page, and read directly.
- medium
- From official material that is incomplete, dated or indirect on this point, so it is reported with the gap named.
- low
- No official source says it outright; taken from secondary material and marked as an estimate.
A starting point, not advice. Thresholds are set in local currency and change every year, and consulates apply their own rules. Verify on the official page before spending money.
