Art. 70(2) lists the grounds excluded from long-term residence (students, protection applicants, seasonal workers, au pairs, short-stay/diplomatic visa holders) and digital nomads are not on it; Art. 71(1)(a) requires 5 continuous years of temporary residence, which nomad time therefore counts toward per the statute's own text.
