Indirect pathway. No PR on Premium Visa; must switch to Occupation Permit, PR after 5 yrs on that (not 3).

EDB's own Premium Visa FAQ (Nov 2023 PDF, edbmauritius.org) states directly: a Premium Visa holder 'may apply for an Occupation Permit if he intends to work or invest... or a Residence Permit as a retired non-citizen' — confirming the Premium Visa itself carries no PR and is a distinct visitor-class instrument. EDB's own 'Amended OP Guidelines' (30.07.2024, business.edbmauritius.org) sets Permanent Residence Permit eligibility at holding an Occupation Permit or Residence Permit 'for at least 5 years' (raised from an older 3-year rule still shown on a stale govmu.org-hosted PDF). No official document anywhere states Premium Visa time counts toward that 5-year clock; this is confirmed absent, not merely unfound, since the eligibility text is worded to require the OP/RP itself.
