Immigration Act Cap.190 s.5(2)(a)(i) grants PR after 5 years' residence following the grant of 'immigrant' status under s.6 (employment, business, or means grounds). The Remote Employment Act 2020 ss.2, 4 and 7 create the Welcome Stamp as a separate, deemed-non-resident visa category that does not itself confer immigrant status. Both Acts were read in full text (barbadoslawcourts.gov.bb; NATLEX-hosted gazette copy). No line states 'Stamp time excluded' in so many words -- this is a structural inference from how the two Acts interlock, not an express clause. Applied as an owner decision on 8 Sep 2026, going the other way from CLAUDE.md rule 8's narrow reading: reaching PR here needs a separate grant of 'immigrant' status under Immigration Act Cap.190 s.6 before the 5-year clock in s.5(2)(a)(i) starts, which the narrow rule would score as No. Recorded so the rule and the data do not silently disagree.
