Lisbon desks: what a month of coworking costs
The Portugal digital nomad visa asks for an income formula. A desk in Lisbon asks for a different kind of number: what the spaces on the ground actually charge. Here is how to read those prices, with links to the pages that publish them, and the reminder that none of this is the threshold on the Portugal page.

This is not the visa bar
The Portugal country page carries the income formula, the confidence grade and the official source. This post does not. It is about what you pay to sit somewhere with a chair, power and wifi once you already know whether the visa maths works.
Market prices move. Always open the space’s own pricing page before you budget.
What the products usually mean
Lisbon coworking sites sell the same three shapes, under different names:
- Day pass — one day, often without a locked locker. Useful for a scouting week.
- Hot desk / flex — a seat in the shared room for a month (or a pack of days).
- Dedicated desk — the same seat every day, usually with a monitor mount or locker.
Private offices are a fourth product and sit well above the first three. Ignore them unless you are bringing a team.
Where to read the numbers
Pick two or three spaces and compare like with like (day vs day, flex vs flex). Three that publish membership or day rates on their own sites:
- Second Home Lisboa — membership plans on the Lisboa page.
- Outsite Lisbon — coliving-plus-workspace; pricing is on the location page and in their booking flow.
- Heden — several Lisbon locations; each location page lists desk products.
Quote whatever those pages show the day you look, in euros. Do not convert a guide’s dollar column into a budget — that is the same failure mode the income-bar post describes for visa figures.
What a month usually feels like
A full flex month in a central Lisbon space is typically a few hundred euros; a dedicated desk is higher; a day-pass week while you decide is the cheapest way to learn whether the room is quiet enough for your calls. Neighbourhood matters more than brand: Alfama tourist noise is a different working day from a warehouse near Santos.
For cost of living as a whole (rent, food, transport), the Portugal row’s cost-of-living figure on the country page is the one this site keeps current — not a blog estimate.
After the desk
If you are still choosing the visa itself, open the comparison tool with your own income and savings. The desk bill is optional. The income bar is not.

The row behind this
Every figure this post relies on lives on a country page with its source and its confidence grade beside it. That is where it gets corrected, and where it stays current after the post stops being news.
