Albania vs Lithuania: only Albania has a nomad visa
People often pair Albania and Lithuania in the same search. They are not the same kind of stay. Albania has a remote-work permit in law. Lithuania does not. Its list covers startups and other normal residence routes, not remote work for a foreign boss.
At a glance
Albania has an open nomad visa. Lithuania does not. Lithuania is in Schengen. Albania is not.

The short answer
Choose Albania if you need a visa built for remote work. Choose Lithuania only if you already fit a startup or other listed residence route. There is no digital nomad visa to match against Albania.

Who each fits
- Albania: You work for a foreign employer or clients, can show means and insurance, and do not need Schengen travel rights from this permit.
- Lithuania: You are founding a company, or you already meet a listed residence ground. A pure “digital nomad visa” plan will not work here.
